Welcome to the Easyrecipeazy blog!

Image
The place to find cooking tips to accompany our main recipe site and we'll post anything interesting we find along the way! What is Easyrecipeazy? Easyrecipeazy is designed with you in mind. We wanted to produce a platform that lets you add a family, choose recipes and give you a list of exact ingredients for your meal times. We allow you to adjust numbers on a day or even add extra families should you be having a dinner party or other event. Once your meals are selected you can then create a shopping list for exactly what you need! We don't stop there though! We also have a pantry function that allows you to tell us what you already have in your cupboards. This means when we create your customised shopping list we can remove anything you already have so you don't buy them again! Our shopping list then puts everything in to categories to help you shop easier and if you use us on your phone you can strike off items as you buy them. We don't tell you how or where to shop....

Safety in the kitchen

To ensure cooking safety, there are a few straightforward precautions you can take: 1. Avoid leaving saucepan handles protruding, as they can be grabbed by children or accidentally knocked off the hob. 2. Exercise caution with loose-fitting clothing while cooking. 3. Keep tea towels and dishcloths away from any heat sources. 4. Double-check that the oven or hob is switched off once you have finished cooking. 5. Never leave your cooking unattended. If you need to leave the room, make sure to turn off the hob. 6. Maintain all cooking appliances in a clean and well-functioning state. 7. Refrain from using gril...

How to make Ketjap Manis

Image
Ketjap Manis features in a couple of the Easyrecipeazy recipes and can often be hard to find, but isn't actually too difficult to make yourself and is only 2 ingredients. What you need: 60ml soy sauce 30g brown sugar Instructions: In a small pot, add brown sugar and soy sauce. Boil the sauce over low to medium heat until it thickens, resembling maple syrup.  If the mixture starts to boil vigorously and looks like it is going to overflow, remove the pot from the heat until the boiling subsides, then continue boiling over low heat.   As the mixture cools down, it will further thicken. And that's it! You made your own Ketjap Manis!
